The Good Guys Win In The End

Opening this post with an MSM story that will come as no surprise to blog readers. Jessica Taylor, Seattle police lieutenant, retired on 1^st August after 23 years on the job. Instead of handing in the usual exit form, Taylor delivered a scathing resignation letter to authorities, blasting them for driving Seattle into 'anarchy and chaos'. This brave Light Warrior is speaking on behalf of millions of frustrated people around the world who are experiencing 'anarchy and chaos' in their own areas. The NZ mental health system is completely overwhelmed and is virtually useless.

NOTHING will change unless We The People speak out. If we keep accepting the small and huge degradations in our quality of life, it gives permission for the dark forces to KEEP GOING. We must emulate the main character in the famous 1976 satire movie Network. He finally could not take the corporate BS any longer and he yelled out a window at the top of his voice: 'I am as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore...!!' I still remember that quote all these years later.

We must speak out, even for mundane local issues. Last week I lodged an official complaint with my local council over the nearby golf course continually burning big rubbish fires. The smoke travels over a wide area, forcing residents to shut windows and delay drying washing outdoors. WE are not allowed to burn rubbish fires for this very reason. Thankfully the council took me seriously and hopefully it is the end of the problem. Instead of fuming over the inconsiderate fires (excuse the pun!), I did something about it.

Here is a man who understands the importance of speaking out (he has too many S's in masses, but his heart is definitely in the right place).

Finally, an important reminder...

I am heading out shortly to take my own advice - spend time in nature. I will go for a walk on the beach then visit a friend who has a five year old son. I enjoy their company because we play games, laugh and it's all about staying in the moment.
